Help with Belka Live beta

For the iPhone beta with a local Mac connection. This information does not cover future online accounts, Teams or payments.

Need help? Email post@belkabeat.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and a brief description of what happened. Include the song and playback source if relevant. Do not send passwords, pairing codes or information about class participants.

Getting started

In Belka on your Mac, select a finished class for Live. On the iPhone, use Koble til Mac (Connect to Mac). Both devices must be on the same local network, and the network must allow them to communicate; some guest networks block this. Open Mine klasser (My classes), tap Hent oppdateringer (Get updates), choose the class and tap Start timen (Start class). Open the floating cue window and play your music as usual. The iPhone must be able to hear the speaker. Belka Live does not control your music player; use your player to start, pause or choose tracks.

If recognition does not work

Allow microphone access and check that the iPhone has internet access. The recording must be in Shazam's catalogue and match the version used for your class. Quiet intros and background noise can delay recognition. Saving a class on the phone does not make new music recognition available offline.

Stopping

Tap Stopp Belka (Stop Belka) during a class, or the stop button in a demo. Check that the iPhone's microphone indicator turns off.

Try it without your own class

Under Mine klasser → Prøv Live uten en klasse → Åpne eksempeltimen, you can try a short Cardio sequence with music recognition and cue cards. Tap Start timen, allow microphone access and play the original studio recording of Training Season by Dua Lipa from the beginning through a speaker audible to the iPhone. Use your choice of music service or other playback source. Music is not included. The example shows Step touch → Kneløft → Ham curl → Step touch and stops listening after the roughly one-minute program. Stopp Belka stops it manually; your music player continues.

On the same page, Se eksempelet shows sample cues without music synchronisation, and Prøv gjenkjenning recognises real music without choreography. None of these trials requires a Belka account or Mac pairing. The example class and recognition trial require microphone access and internet access. Buttons in this beta are labelled in Norwegian.
